Every year, TEDxSingapore brings together thinkers, doers and makers who are shaping the way we live and imagine the future.
Through talks, performances, and conversations, we explore ideas born from our city. Ideas that speak to our shared humanity here in Singapore.
This year, alongside our main stage experience, we will be hosting TED’s Global Idea Search. Out of the TEDx communities around the world, our team has been chosen as 1 of only 9 stops worldwide for this global campaign to surface local ideas for TED’s flagship stage in 2026.
It’s a milestone that puts Singapore on the global map of ideas. Come be part of a gathering that celebrates imagination, and the power of ideas worth spreading, from Singapore to the world.

Leon Boey
Ocean Restorer
Leon Boey is a diver turned ocean restorer who has spent over 15 years rebuilding coral reefs across Southeast Asia through his initiative, Livingseas Foundation. He combines hands-on restoration with community engagement to show that the ocean’s revival begins with human action and working together for change.
Hortense Le Ferrand
Material Scientist
Dr. Hortense Le Ferrand is an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University who leads pioneering research in sustainable materials inspired by nature. Her work bridges engineering and nature-inspired design, imagining a future where we can create and grow materials as elegantly and efficiently as the natural world.
Angjolie Mei
Funeral Director
Angjolie Mei is the founder of The Life Celebrant, a leading funeral company in Singapore that redefines how farewells are experienced. A second-generation funeral director, she has spent over two decades transforming the industry through compassion, innovation, and a belief that every goodbye deserves dignity and meaning.
Mohamed Faizal
Cultural Musician
Mohamed Faizal is a Malay guzheng artist, dedicated to bridging cultures through music. Blending traditional Chinese strings with global rhythms, he explores how sound can bring people together across different stories, traditions, and cultures.

Care Choreographer
Alecia Neo is an artist whose work explores care, connection, and community through participatory art and movement. She creates platforms that invite others to reflect on what it means to give and receive care, reimagining empathy as a shared, creative act.
Andrew Ong
Second Chance Builder
Andrew Ong is the co-founder of Break the Cycle, a ground-up initiative that empowers ex-offenders to rebuild their lives through cycling, mentorship, and community. Drawing from his own journey, he advocates for second chances and the power of belief to restore dignity and hope.
Li Hongyi
Technologist
Li Hongyi is the Director of Open Government Products, a team transforming how technology serves the public good in Singapore. He leads efforts to build digital tools that make everyday life simpler, smarter, and more connected for citizens.
Shanice Stanislaus
Clown
Shanice Stanislaus is a performer and theatrical clown who uses humour and play to explore vulnerability and courage. Through her work, she invites audiences to rediscover the joy of imperfection and the freedom that comes with embracing our playful, human selves.
