Opening our home to the community!
What started off as an idea to share our exclusive merchandise with our community soon became an afternoon full of exciting gatherings of memories, people and ideas. Initially we wanted our community to have the opportunity to get their hands on our exclusive merchandise which were only available during certain events.
However with TEDxSingapore it isn't just about giving out and getting it over with. It is about creating conversations, sparking curiosity, fueling excitement and acting on Ideas Worth Spreading. With that in mind the TEDxSingapore team began with brainstorming for a venue where we could hold our potential “yard sale” and then Eureka! Why not invite our local community into the headquarters of our coffee partner, Huggs — a space we call home!

The Open House
Inviting attendees to our home also means that we will have to engage with our community who feels close to home. We had a line up of performance, poetry readings, workshops on graphic storytelling and empathy and booths which sold local snacks, amazing reads and allowed attendees to swap in their pre love clothes for other pre loved clothes - resulting in a sustainable fashion!
A Home for Ideas and Communities
TEDxSingapore Open House was more than just an event, it was a reflection of what we truly believe in: building a space where ideas can thrive, and where people feel they belong. Whether they came for the stories, the conversations, the merchandise or even for the coffee, everyone left with a little more curiosity, inspiration and connection.
As the day drew to a close, the laughter, discussions, and new friendships reminded us why we do what we do. This is TEDxSingapore - not just a stage for ideas but also a home for community.

After deciding on the venue we thought of many ideas on how we can use this opportunity to engage our existing community as well as welcoming new curious minds who would like to see what TEDxSingapore is all about.
With that in mind we decided to create an intimate experience which allows our attendees to indulge their curious minds and explore the various elements of their senses.
